"Moreover, Papua and West Papua have become the development priorities of President Jokowi (Joko Widodo)," Anung informed the media at the Cabinet Secretariat office, Jakarta, on Monday.

According to Anung, the government has always follows the development of the security situation in Papua and West Papua. He believes that the armed groups pose no threat at this time.

Anung explained that TNI Commander Marshal Hadi Tjahjanto and National Police Chief General Tito Karnavian had continued to monitor conditions on the paradise of the earth, Papua. The secretary of state added that the TNI and Polri had coordinated in response to the threat.

"Whatever it is, it must be dealt with. That is part of the NKRI (Unitary State of Indonesia)," Anung emphasized.

Earlier, a threat from Egianus Kogoya, a member of the West Papua National Liberation Army -- the Free Papua Organization -- was broadcast on social media platform Facebook on Saturday (Feb 23) in which non-Papuan civilians were asked to leave the area, as they were considered to be the intelligence and members of police.
