On modern day, people living in big cities usually complain about the weather. “Oh my God… Today is very hot! “. It is right. The earth becomes warmer every day. Not only warmer in temperature, many disasters and natural phenomena are also uncontrollable. The disasters can damage environment, such as flood, tsunami, volcanic, etc. Do you realize that those natural signs show us that the earth is becoming worse every day? That is global warming.
Global Warming is a condition which the earth becoming warmer every day. It’s influenced by greenhouse gases. Actually, one effect from such gases is good for the earth because it maintain earth’s temperature in order people can live in the earth. Half of the solar radiation will penetrate our atmosphere so the earth becomes warm.
However, there are so many gases like CO2, methane, and NO in the atmosphere block the solar radiation to be reflected back from the earth and trapped in the surface of the Earth. So, the earth’s temperature increase and becomes warmer everyday because of the trapped solar radiation. I believe people are the main factor that contributes to the greenhouse effects.
Almost all greenhouse gases come from the use of fossil-fuel in vehicles, factories, etc. Besides, people’s greed also play important role in global warming. They cut trees in the forest which naturally serves as the world’s lungs.
People also use plastic which is not easily recycled in the nature. Hence, no need to be surprised when the global warming really occurs.
Glass house’s effect can make ozone in the atmosphere perforated. It also makes infrared radiation cannot enter the atmosphere and earth become warmer. The worst impacts from global warming are the ice melting in the earth poles, the rising of sea level, climate change, etc.
Global warming also arise the number of diseases, not only “old disease” but also “new diseases”. Many diseases are spread by insects which are influenced by environment change, because insects are very sensitive with temperature and humidity.
People must make strong efforts to avoid the dangers of global warming. The future of the earth is very important to all of us not only to humankind but also animals, and plants.
In practice, people can start their efforts from some small things, like reducing the plastic waste, using green transportation such as bicycle instead of fuelled vehicles, using recycled things, and also planting more trees and flowers. Saving natural and manmade resources including water, electricity, or fuel is also on the list to do, for the sake of protecting environment.
All in all, the dangers of global warming are potentially threatening people today and the future. Then it is all people’s obligation to protect the environment.
We all can be the “climate heroes” by protecting the earth from the global warming. Imagine that if only everyone on earth went green… then global warming would be so easier to be resolved. So together, we save this planet!
